The Renova group of companies is one of the largest diversified business groups in Russia. The history of the Renova Group began in 1988 with the founding of company KomVek. In 1990 Renova itself was established, and in 1996—the Siberia-Urals Aluminum Company (SUAL).

The extensive business of the group in metallurgy is represented by KUZOCM, Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant, Koryakgeoldobycha, Marganets Kalakhari, RUSAL, Zoloto Kamchatki, Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgy Plant, and the Novosibirsk, Novocherkassk, and Chelyabinsk electrode plants. In the oil and chemical industries, the business of the group is represented by TNK-BP, Sayanskkhimplast, Leningradslanets, VOAO Khimprom, Neftechimia, and OAO Khimprom. In the sphere of machine building, Ural Turbine Works and Sulzer. The innovative technology business of the Renova Group is represented by Oerlikon.
